ADCC | Stretch Your Perspective

Brief

In this project, we were tasked with creating 3D animation scenes featuring unique, abstract characters that visually embody the concept of Stretch Your Perspective. Each animation explores different creative ways these characters can stretch, bend, and transform, reflecting the campaign's theme of challenging perceptions and embracing new viewpoints. The goal was to deliver visually engaging and thought-provoking pieces that capture the essence of flexibility, adaptability, and open-mindedness.

Concepting

During the concepting phase, I received a series of fantastic illustrations from another artist that outlined the desired composition, color palette, and general creative direction. These illustrations served as a solid foundation, providing clear visual references for the scenes and characters. They helped guide the development of the 3D animations, ensuring the abstract characters aligned with the campaign’s vision while allowing room to explore dynamic and inventive ways to stretch and transform.

3D Production

In this phase, using the provided illustrations as a guide, I modeled all the characters and objects in 3D, ensuring they stayed true to the original designs. Once the models were complete, I textured everything to bring out the desired colors and materials. Afterward, I focused on lighting the scenes to enhance depth, mood, and visual impact. Finally, I built the compositions, carefully arranging all elements to reflect the intended layouts and ensure each shot aligned with the campaign’s vision.

3D Animation

In this stage, I rigged the characters, allowing them to move and stretch in dynamic, expressive ways. I then created secondary animations for other objects and added subtle effects to enhance the scene's realism and energy. This is my favorite part of the process — seeing the characters and elements come to life through motion, personality, and detail. Animation transforms the static scenes into engaging, fluid stories that truly reflect the Stretch Your Perspective campaign.

Final Deliverables

In this final stage, the 3D animations were combined with 2D text animation and additional finishing touches to enhance the overall composition. These elements helped reinforce the campaign message and provided a polished, cohesive look. The result is a series of dynamic animations that effectively capture the essence of Stretch Your Perspective, ready to engage and inspire the audience.
